The youth recreation soccer program is open to children ages 4-12 years old. The City also hosts a travel program (Lions) for children 7-18 years old. They practice and play their games at Veterans Park and the Lauderhill Sports Park.

This program focuses on academics and athletics while competing against local, regional, and national competition. All participants must maintain good grades and positive behavior in the classroom and on the field. Participants who do well in the classroom and on the field are eligible for scholarships through the City of Lauderhill's Sports Advancing Kids Education program.

Registration generally starts in August for the recreation program and the program normally is hosted from September through December. The cost is $100 per child (for Lauderhill residents) and $125 per child (for non-Lauderhill residents). Official practices generally begin in September and the season generally lasts until December for the recreation program.
