The Cheetahs are a youth track and field program located in the City of Lauderhill. It is open to children ages 5-17 years old. They practice at West Ken Lark Park and also local area tracks. The City hosts the recreation program.
This program focuses on academics and athletics while competing in meets against local, regional, and national competition. All participants must maintain good grades and positive behavior in the classroom and on the track. Participants who do well in the classroom and on the track are eligible for scholarships through the City of Lauderhill's Sports Advancing Kids Education program.
Registration starts November 5, 2018. The cost is $75 per child (for Lauderhill residents) and $100 per child (for non-Lauderhill residents). Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate, proof of insurance, and proof of residency. No refunds allowed December 31, 2018 and all refunds are subject to a $20 administrative fee. Official practices begin January 22, 2019 and meets normally start in March and go until May or later.
