Become a Youth Council Member

Make a difference in your community! Become a member of the city of Lauderhill’s Youth Council!

  • When: Lauderhill Youth Council meetings are every 2nd Monday. Meetings start at 6:30pm. Refreshments are served.
  • Where: Lauderhill Historical Museum, 1080 NW 47th Street, Lauderhill, FL 33313.
  • Cost: FREE to members; members are appointed by the Lauderhill City Commission.

NON-RESIDENT students in 6th-12th grades are cordially encouraged to attend **FREE** ‘Youth Leadership Training’ at the Lauderhill Historical Museum every Monday night at 6:30pm. Call Sam Monroe, IGNITE Empowerment, at 954-254-3953 or Daphne Dyer at 954-321-2454.

Program Information & Requirements

  • Open to City of Lauderhill residents only.
  • Registered 9th through 12th grade students.
  • Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA (or complete an for specific details).
  • Have parent/legal guardian approval.
  • Ability to serve at least one year.

The Lauderhill PALS Teen Leadership After School Club

  • When: Monday-Thursday during the regular school year
  • Time: 3:00pm-6:00pm
  • Where: Sadkin Community Center, 1176 NW 42nd Way, Lauderhill, FL 33313
  • What: Community Service opportunities every day, leadership and career learning experiences
  • Cost: Free for Lauderhill residents / only $10 per school quarter for non-residents
  • Ages: Open to children in 6th-12th Grades
