The Lauderhill Performing Arts Center is located near the Central Broward Regional Park on the northeast corner of Sunrise Boulevard and State Road 7. The 47,585 square foot facility houses a performing arts theater and a new Broward County Public Library.

Architect & Design:
The facility was designed by world renowned theater architects Westlake Reed Leskosky, Inc. in partnership with local architect Barranco Gonzalez. The construction of the facility was completed by James A. Cummings, Inc. and the interior designer is Cecil Hayes, America’s Premier Interior Designer.
Seating & Theatre:
The Lauderhill Performing Arts Center has a 1200 seat-theater equipped with Proscenium Stage, dressing rooms and state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment.
The Lauderhill Performing Arts Center includes an art gallery, meeting/classrooms, banquet/reception facilities, and will be the first LEED Silver Performing Arts/Library structure in the southeast United States. When completed, it will accommodate events for music, theatre, dance, cinema, comedy, visual arts, education, conferences, workshops and other social gatherings.
The 10,000 square foot library attached to the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center will feature 25 public access computers, a tutoring room, and a multipurpose room. In addition, it will have components related to the history of sports, a multi-media approach to recreational education, sports films, fitness classes/workshops, and environmental education.
Funding for this facility came from several sources: $5.8 million came from the City of Lauderhill’s voter approved General Obligation bond from 2005. A matching $5.8 million came from the Broward County Park Bond. Funding for the library, approximately $3 million dollars, came from Broward County’s 1999 Library Bond Referendum.
