City of Lauderhill’s “Jammin’ in the Park and Art Fest” to take Place on April 22nd featuring Rose Royce!
The 5th Annual Jammin’ in the Park & Art Fest will take place on April 22, 2017 at Ilene Lieberman Park, from 4 pm – 10 pm. This party in the park is for the mature and grown who like music, food, and art!
Entry into the park is free! Drinks will be on sale and food for sale will include Conch, Sea Food, Cajun, BBQ, Jerk, and the new 32 Bubbles Korean Ice Cream and Waffle Cone – (which is indescribable and totally delectable!)
Support the Lauderhill Art, Culture, and Tourism Board as they host the Art Fest with several art filled tents and displays. Several local artists will be selling paintings, sculptures, and jewelry at affordable prices. Everyone can go home with an original work of art!
Live acts will take the stage all afternoon and include local talent to include the winners of last year’s Lauderhill Talent Contest (Jessika Timmons, Tatiana King, Erica Gard), Blade Martin (reggae and today’s hits), Self-Made (Rap/R&B), the Old Skool Gang (hits of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and Motown), and the headliner we all know and love ROSE ROYCE – whose hits were “Wishing on a Star” and “Car Wash!”
Commissioner M. Margaret Bates, Event Organizer explains, “Jammin’ in the Park is always a way to leave your cares behind and enjoy time with your friends and family. Let the music take you back to a time and place that we all loved and enjoyed. The food is always top notch and the price is just right. If you can make it to Jammin I promise you will NOT be disappointed! I will see you there!”
Jammin’ in the Park is presented in conjunction with LT’s Throwback Golf Tournament and the proceeds benefit Fore Life. Sponsors also include Caribbean National News Network, Westside Gazette, We Florida Financial, the Inverrary Association, and the Lauderhill Art, Cultural, and Tourism Board.
