Broward Welcomes the World: World Cup Kick Off Events

The City of Lauderhill invites residents, families, soccer fans, and visitors to celebrate the energy of international soccer with Broward Welcomes the World, a two-day community celebration featuring soccer, live music, food trucks, family activities, and cultural entertainment.

Hosted by City of Lauderhill Vice Mayor Richard Campbell and supported by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, these free events bring the community together as South Florida prepares to welcome fans and visitors during one of the biggest global sports moments.

World Cup Kick Off

Celebrate with an evening of soccer, music, food, and family-friendly activities at the Lauderhill Sports Complex. The event will feature food trucks, a vendor marketplace, live music by Jahshii and Laa Lee, and an exciting soccer tournament lineup.

6:00 PM – Masters League Final and Presentation
7:30 PM – Super League Final and Presentation
9:15 PM – Featured Game: Jamaica National U20 Team vs. Haiti U20 Team

The celebration continues with the Signature Kick Off Event at Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium. Enjoy a full day of soccer, food trucks, a vendor marketplace, family activities, and live entertainment featuring Wayne Wonder and Spragga Benz.

Includes VIP parking, two complimentary drinks, and VIP stadium seating. 

Youth Soccer Clinic Ticket — Free
For youth ages 3–16 participating in the soccer clinic. This registration also includes general admission to the event.
