Micro-Loan Program

  • Loan Amount: Up to $10,000

Commercial Façade Improvement Grant

  • Grant Amount: Up to $100,000 (50% match required)
  • Eligibility: Lauderhill commercial property owners
  • Use of Funds: Signage, lighting, painting, landscaping, windows, doors

Small Business Academy Accelerator (SBAA)

  • Length: 6 week accelerator program
  • Cost: Free (business must apply and be accepted to program)
  • Eligibility: Lauderhill-based entrepreneurs
  • Curriculum: Business planning, finance, marketing

Business Attraction & Job Incentive Programs

Administered By: Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD)
Programs:

  • Direct Cash/Job Growth Incentive
  • Strategic Job Creation Incentive Eligibility: Expanding/relocating businesses in key industries

Small Business Micro-Grant Pilot Program

  • Grant Amount: Up to $2,500 (reimbursable)
  • Eligibility: Broward-based, for-profit, < $1M revenue, ≤ 20 employees
  • Grant Open: June 12, 2024 – until funds exhausted
  • Use of Funds: Equipment, rent, marketing, supplies, insurance, etc.

Regional & Federal Programs

South Florida Regional Planning Council (SFRPC) Revolving Loan Fund (RLF)

  • Loan Amount: $25,000–$500,000
  • Eligibility: Located in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Monroe; job creation required
  • Terms: Must leverage private investment, provide job creation, and demonstrate funding gap
  • Restrictions: No unsecured loans, lines of credit, or business acquisitions

SBA Microloan Program

  • Loan Amount: Up to $50,000
  • Average Loan: ~$13,000
  • Use of Funds: Working capital, supplies, equipment, fixtures
  • Terms: Max 7 years, interest rates 8–13%
