The City of Lauderhill has engaged with Retail Management Associates RMA to conduct a retail analysis citywide. One of the primary goals of the study is to examine the retail in Lauderhill and determine what the City can do to improve its position when it comes to market maximization.
Ultimately, the firm will assist the City in developing a revised business attraction plan that is aggressive but realistic. Additionally, the firm will customize a rebranding strategy that will allow the City to showcase its unique assets, which are not typically represented by data that focuses primarily on resident’s income levels.
Over the course of the retail study, a series of stakeholders interviews were held with the City Commission, real estate brokers and various community leaders.
Subsequently, a public open house was held at City Hall on April 3, 2018 to obtain residents feedback in regards to what they like about their city, versus the challenges they face with obtaining certain good and services.
