The Minority Business Expo, Forum & Pitch Competition is an initiative of the National Urban League Young Professionals' National Day of Empowerment. This initiative seeks to support aspiring & thriving minority entrepreneurs, black & minority owned businesses as well as encourage the circulation of minority dollars within these communities. The Minority Business Expo offers interactive discussions on a variety of topics relevant to minority-owned businesses and closes with the Minority Business Pitch Competition offering cash and other prizes.

Get an overview of this Exciting Opportunity for Aspiring and Early Stage Entrepreneurs New Venture™ Entrepreneur Program Information Session!

Owning your business is the American dream. Building it to withstand the test of time requires a unique set of tools. That’s where the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development FastTrac® NewVenture™ program will help entrepreneurs: Identify Market Needs Explore Risk and Success Factors Build a Business Plan Understand Business Fundamentals Network with Entrepreneurship Professionals Access Business, Financial and Human Resources Upon completion of the 10-week NewVenture™ course, all participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. Business plans prepared by each participant will be evaluated at the end of the course. Seed money may be distributed to the top three business plans.

Lauderhill Economic Development Initiative to Attract New Businesses – Seeking Resident’s and Business Owner’s Input at an Open House!

The City of Lauderhill is always seeking ways to improve our changing community. The Economic Development Division of the Finance Department is hosting a Retail Recruitment Project Open House at City Hall. This forum is part of an ongoing study the City of Lauderhill and Retail Management Associates (RMA) is conducting to help recruit new retail and establish a wider spectrum of businesses in Lauderhill. This Retail Recruitment Project Open House is open and free to residents and business owners.

The Retail Recruitment Project Open Housewill take place at City Hall’s Commission Chambers and Multi-Purpose Room on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 6:00 pm.The ongoing study will help to improve our business climate as well as increase the variety of our shopping and dining establishments. We encourage you to attend this Open House where you may submit your observations and recommendations directly to the RMA consultants who will moderate the meeting.

Refreshments will be provided. City Hall is located at 5581 West Oakland Park Boulevard, Lauderhill, FL 33313.
