Who is eligible to participate?

To be eligible, a business must:

• Have a brick-and-mortar location within the City of Lauderhill.
• Be operating in good standing.
• Have a valid City of Lauderhill Certificate of Use (COU).

The City reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify businesses that do not meet these requirements.

Is there a cost to participate?

No. Nominating a business and voting are completely free.

How are finalists selected?

Eligible businesses that receive the most verified nominations in each category will advance as finalists.

How are winners selected?

Winners are determined by the highest number of verified votes received in each category.

The City reserves the right to:

• Disqualify businesses that do not meet eligibility requirements.
• Remove fraudulent or duplicate votes.
• Reject a winner if a category receives fewer than 20 verified votes.
• Select a winner at its discretion if minimum participation requirements are not met.

How can my business encourage customers to participate?

Businesses are encouraged to:

• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Share the nomination and voting links on social media.
• Display promotional flyers or signage at their business.
• Send reminders through email newsletters.
• Encourage customers to nominate and vote.

Businesses may promote the program but may not purchase, incentivize, or otherwise manipulate votes.

Who can nominate or vote?

Anyone may nominate an eligible business during the nomination period and vote for finalists during the voting period.

How many nominations or votes can I submit?

You may nominate one business per category during the nomination phase and vote for one finalist per category during the voting phase.

Is there a prize for voting?

Yes. Eligible voters will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win a $250 gift card after the voting period closes.

How will I know if I won the raffle?

The raffle winner will be selected at random and contacted using the information provided on the voting form. The City may also announce the winner on its website and social media channels, subject to the winner's consent.
