The US Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance, has announced that the Lauderhill Police Department is eligible to receive a total award amount of $42,991.20 in the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program FY 2019 Local Solicitation. These funds are to be used to assist the Lauderhill Police Department’s proactive efforts to upgrade its technology, and purchase Cellebrite Solutions, CSIpix comparator, a Fisher Laboratory Workstation, and provide training to its officers. This will improve overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Police Department as it relates to investigating crime, providing safety and security to the residents and visitors of the City, while also ensuring the safety of the police officers and crime scene technicians as they do their duty.
