The City of Lauderhill Fire Rescue Training Division is committed to providing timely, relevant, and realistic training to our firefighters. Fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue operations, and hazardous materials incidents demand a high level of preparation and continuous professional development.
Our mission is to equip firefighters with the knowledge, skills, and decision-making ability needed to safely and effectively mitigate any emergency. Effective, efficient, and safe operations are the direct result of frequent, high-quality training.
To maintain operational readiness, firefighters are certified across a variety of disciplines, continuously develop individual skills, and complete more than 192 hours of company-based training annually.
The Training Division is responsible for the coordination, design, delivery, and documentation of all fire and EMS training programs for department personnel. Training is delivered through a combination of classroom instruction, company-based drills, hands-on practical evolutions, individual study, and web-based learning platforms.
This diverse instructional approach ensures that all personnel receive current, relevant information aligned with industry standards, best practices, and evolving operational demands.
