The Development Services Department is comprised of the following: 

• Planning & Zoning Division
• Building Division

Planning & Zoning Division is tasked with long range city planning, development review of all new projects, and zoning regulation. The Building Division ensures compliance with minimum standards of the Florida Building Code.

Department staff encourage compliance through education and community outreach. Public meetings are used to foster communication and help identify community priorities. Staff work collaboratively to deliver quality services to residents, businesses and the development community in order to create a progressive, modern city atmosphere.
