The City of Lauderhill Grants Division offers a wide range of affordable housing services to provide accessible opportunities for income-eligible prospective and current residents, to participate in housing assistance programs administered under the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs.
Current housing assistance programs include:
Participation in the City’s housing programs are based on federal income guidelines and residency qualifications. Rehabilitation applications are assisted on a first come, first qualified, first served basis. Purchase applications are assisted on a first come, first qualified, first closed, first served basis.
Please be aware that application submittal is voluntary and some applicants may not be assisted. Assistance will be priorities for households with greater needs including members with special needs, and very-low income.
All housing assistance provided by the City is secured by a first or second deferred, zero-interest, loan secured by a mortgage and note with a term of up to 15 years, depending on the assistance provided. The mortgage will be recorded in Broward County Public Records to this affect. The loan is satisfied once the affordable term has been met.

LAUDERHILL CARES PROGRAM
The City of Lauderhill received funding from the Federal Government’s Community Development Block Grant COVID-Related and State Housing Initiatives Partnership Programs. These funds can be used for COVID-19 Relief for businesses and residents. The City is proposing using these funds for the establishment of relief for our residents and businesses that have suffered under the implementation of a State of Emergency for the fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic. The City is recommending the Lauderhill COVID-19 Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Program, also known as, the Lauderhill CARES Program. This program will provide funding as follows:
|$75,000||Residential (Rent and Mortgage Assistance - up to $1,200 per family)
||Business (Rent and Mortgage Assistance - up to $1,500 per business)
||Utility Bill Assistance (COL - Water Bill Assist - up to $200 per family/business)
||Counseling for Business and Residences
Residents and business will be able to access the applications for the programs on May 4, 2020. This program will provide funding to assist our residents and businesses during this extraordinary time of economic need during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
