Lauderhill Peace Month 2025
Rally Together for a Peaceful Lauderhill
Throughout the month of June, join us for Peace Month 2025—a movement to inspire nonviolence, empower our youth and adults, and strengthen community bonds.
Led by Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn and powered by the Lauderhill Peace365 initiative, Peace Month brings residents together for meaningful events that promote healing, action, and collective responsibility.
Peace Rally & Resource Fair
Sunday, June 1 | 3PM – 6PM
Lauderhill City Hall – 5581 W Oakland Park Blvd
Start Peace Month with purpose. Join us for an inspiring afternoon featuring:
- The debut of the Peace Quilt, created by Lauderhill youth
- Peace Maker Awards recognizing local champions of peace
- Live performances by community artists
- 15 community resource vendors offering wellness, housing, and safety services
- The kickoff of 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting for peace and prosperity in Lauderhill

Youth Peace Empowerment & Leadership Workshops

These engaging sessions equip youth with tools to lead with compassion, resolve conflict, and promote peaceful solutions in their communities.
Community Service Project: Create a Peace Garden

Get your hands in the soil for a good cause! Families and volunteers will work side-by-side to build a vibrant Peace Garden that symbolizes hope, healing, and community care.
Adult Peace Empowerment Workshop Series
Wednesday, June 11 & Wednesday, June 25 | 6PM – 8PM
Virtual via Zoom
This two-part online series explores emotional wellness, conflict resolution, and how to be a peacebuilder in your home and neighborhood.
