RISE Lauderhill is a community-driven General Obligation Bond committed to investing in critical improvements across roads, infrastructure, public safety, and the environment.
By investing $65 million in the short-term, we can provide enhancements our residents can enjoy immediately, such as modern public facilities, cutting-edge safety upgrades, smoother streets, and parks that celebrate our vibrant local culture.
These improvements are designed to deliver visible, neighborhood-level benefits residents can enjoy immediately while strengthening Lauderhill for decades to come.
WHY NOW?
Building now allows residents to enjoy improvements immediately and helps avoid the higher price tag that can come with inflation and construction cost increases. This approach helps deliver benefits sooner, avoids delaying important projects, and supports long-term planning rather than catching up later.
Every neighborhood in Lauderhill has projects planned. Residents will see improvements in the streets they drive, the parks they use, and the public facilities that serve the community. These are real, local upgrades, not abstract spending.
ADDRESSING LOCAL NEEDS
Projects were informed by community input, resident feedback, and City planning efforts to ensure investments align with local needs and priorities.
AVOIDING TAX INCREASES
The bond is structured so we can make these investments without increasing the tax rate. As older City debt retires, those dollars are put back to work to fund today’s improvements. Individual tax bills are influenced by property values, which are set by the market, not by the bond itself. The bond does not raise the City’s tax rate.
INVESTING IN SAFETY
RISE Lauderhill includes investments in a new Public Safety building and fire station renovations. Citywide safety improvements help support faster response times and smarter protection for all neighborhoods.
IMPROVING QUALITY OF LIFE
Upgraded parks, trails, playgrounds, and public spaces give families more opportunities to stay active, connect locally, and enjoy amenities without leaving the city.
PROTECTING PROPERTY VALUES
Well-maintained streets, safe neighborhoods, and quality public spaces are key factors in protecting long-term property values. Infrastructure investment is one of the strongest tools cities have to support stable, healthy neighborhoods.
