Upcoming Parking Lot Resurfacing and Facility Improvements
Lauderhill, FL (August 13, 2026) — The City of Lauderhill is advising residents, visitors, and park users of several upcoming parking lot resurfacing and facility improvement projects scheduled to begin throughout August and early September.
The projects are part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve public facilities. All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to review the following project schedules and plan accordingly:
MAYE JENKINS PARK
Parking Lot Resurfacing
Beginning Monday, August 17, 2026 | Approximately 3 Days
The Maye Jenkins Park parking lot will be closed during the resurfacing project. The park should be opened by 8:00 AM to provide contractor access.
Barricades may be placed to restrict access and may be removed by the contractor as needed. The City will provide an update once limited or regular parking access has been restored.
VETERANS PARK
Parking Lot Resurfacing
Beginning Wednesday, August 19, 2026 | Approximately 2 Weeks
The Veterans Park parking lot will be completely unavailable on Wednesday, August 19.
No vehicles should be parked in the parking lot on August 19.
Following the initial closure, parking will be limited for approximately two weeks while resurfacing work is completed.
WEST WIND PARK
Parking Lot Resurfacing
Anticipated Beginning Monday, August 31, 2026 | Approximately 2 Weeks
The West Wind Park parking lot will be completely unavailable on the first day of work.
No vehicles should be parked in the parking lot on August 31.
Parking will be limited for approximately two weeks following the start of the project.
Please Plan Ahead
Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted signage and barricades, and allow additional time when visiting affected facilities during construction.
