Vote on RISE Lauderhill General Obligation Bond on March 10

Lauderhill, FL (February 3, 2026) — The City of Lauderhill is asking voters to turn out on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, to cast their vote on the community-driven RISE Lauderhill General Obligation (GO) Bond. The proposed $65 million bond focuses on investing in Roads, Infrastructure, Safety, and the Environment and will appear as the sole item on the ballot during the City’s special election.

Projects included in RISE Lauderhill span four focus areas:

  • Roads: Resurfacing, improved connectivity, and pedestrian-first safety enhancements
  • Infrastructure: Smart-city technology, improved parking, and essential site drainage
  • Safety: A new Public Safety building and fire station renovations
  • Environment: Enhanced parks, trails, playgrounds, and the landmark Habitat Park

The RISE Lauderhill GO Bond is designed to deliver visible, neighborhood-level improvements that enhance quality of life across the city, including safer streets, upgraded parks, modern public safety facilities, and essential infrastructure improvements shaped by resident input.

“This initiative reflects our commitment to planning responsibly while delivering real benefits residents can see and use today,” City Manager Kennie Hobbs said. “RISE Lauderhill focuses on improving the everyday places that matter most to our community.”

The bond is structured so these investments can be made without increasing the City’s tax rate, allowing Lauderhill to replace retiring debt with new improvements and avoid higher future costs associated with delaying needed projects.

Every neighborhood in Lauderhill has projects planned, ensuring the benefits of RISE Lauderhill are shared citywide.

Residents are encouraged to learn more about the proposed projects, how the bond is funded, and how to participate in the March 10 election by visiting LauderhillGOBond.info
