City of Lauderhill Invites Community to Unite for Citywide Community Clean-Up Day

Lauderhill, FL (January 8, 2026) – The City of Lauderhill is calling on residents, businesses, and community organizations to roll up their sleeves and take part in Lauderhill Community Clean-Up Day, a citywide day of service focused on beautifying neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces while strengthening community pride.

Scheduled this Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the initiative will bring volunteers together across the city to plant greenery, remove litter, refresh landscaping, and add welcoming touches that reflect Lauderhill’s spirit of unity and care.

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, January 10, 2026
  • Time: 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Meet-Up Location: Lauderhill City Hall, 5581 W. Oakland Park Boulevard, Lauderhill, FL 33313
  • Service Areas: Throughout the City of Lauderhill
  • Eligibility: Open to ages 14 and up
  • Community Service Hours: Available upon request

To ensure comprehensive coverage across the city, Lauderhill will be divided into eight clean-up zones, each led by a member of the City’s leadership team:

  • Zone 1: Commissioner John T. Hodgson
  • Zone 2: City Clerk Andrea Anderson
  • Zone 3: Vice Mayor Richard Campbell
  • Zone 4: Mayor Denise D. Grant
  • Zone 5: City Manager Kennie Hobbs, Jr.
  • Zone 6: Commissioner S. Ray Martin
  • Zone 7: Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn
  • Zone 8: City Attorney Hans Ottinot

During registration, volunteers may indicate a preferred zone. While preferences will be considered, final assignments may be adjusted to ensure balanced coverage citywide.

What to Expect

Volunteers will assist with litter removal, light landscaping, planting greenery, and general neighborhood beautification. The event also provides an opportunity for residents, businesses, and civic groups to connect and collaborate toward a shared goal – keeping Lauderhill clean, green, and beautiful.
