The Lauderhill CRA Board, which includes Mayor Ken Thurston, Vice Mayor Melissa P. Dunn, and Commissioners Denise D. Grant, S. Ray Martin and Lawrence "Jabbow" Martin, and Executive Director Sean Henderson, held a Small Business Expo and Pitch Competition. Daymond John, from TV-hit show "The Shark Tank,” was able to give priceless suggestions to entrepreneurs and judge the competition.

  

The first place winner, Aygemang Clay, pitched the ATLEXO Luxury Workout Kit and totally wowed the judges and the crowd. Clay won $25,000 to grow his business here in the City of Lauderhill.

 

Business forums were held with panelists to include Sandy McDonald, Juliet Murphy Roulhac, Stacy Ritter, Verse Simmonds, Samuel Yeboah and Andy Ingraham. Their invaluable input gave all attendees insight into the mind of a CEO! Get your business ideas ready… And see you all next year!
