Hello Lauderhill Family!

I hope that each and every one of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! We are a long way from where we were last year, now that most of us have the opportunity to gather with friends and family once again. The isolation brought on by the pandemic that we collectively went through has truly made me appreciative.

The holiday season reminds us to think of others who may be less fortunate. This is the perfect time to go through your closet and donate old clothes, make a monetary donation to your favorite charity, or help any way you can. If you see a need and can fill it, please do so.

Don’t forget to check on family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else! We all face our own trials and tribulations at different moments. Think of how nice it was to feel thought of. In the same spirit, it costs us nothing to be kind, no matter the size of the gesture. Often, the impact is bigger than we could imagine. Personally, I love the glow of a smile when I greet strangers with an unsolicited “hello” or “I hope you have a nice day…” those smiles even make ME smile! A shared moment where two people connect means they part ways a little better than a few minutes before.

We all have been through trying times and it is this time of year that gives us a chance to reflect upon those challenges and how we met them. Your Lauderhill Police Department has, and will continue to meet the challenges of today and strive to meet the needs of our community and foster a positive partnership with those we serve.
