Commissioner S. “Ray” Martin, Commissioner Lawrence “Jabbow” Martin, Police Chief Constance Stanley and Deputy Chief Allen Siegel joined Denise Pendergrass, widow of Lauderhill Police Sergeant Corey Pendergrass, to the Annual Law Enforcement Remembrance Vigil in Washington D.C. 
In its 40th year, the 2019-2020 Law Enforcement Remembrance Vigil celebrated the lives of officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. 
Pendergrass sadly lost his battle with COVID-19 a little over a year ago. A monument was unveiled to commemorate officers who lost their lives over the past year. Sergeant Pendergrass, whose name is engraved on the monument, will never be forgotten!
