  • Commissioner "Jabbow" Martin along with Mayor Ken Thurston issued a proclamation to Bobby Henry that declared Monday, February 22nd, as “Westside Gazette Day,” in honor of the newspaper's 50th anniversary. The Westside Gazette is Broward County's oldest and largest African American owned and operated periodical. Mr. Henry shared a heartfelt speech of appreciation for the proclamation and a moment of levity with his fellow fraternity brothers from Omega Psi Phi! Congratulations to the Henry Family from all of us at the City of Lauderhill!
