Vice Mayor Denise D. Grant Presents the Second “Adopt-A-Park” Initiative for Wolk Park

Lauderhill, FL - February 18, 2021 – 6:00 PM - Lauderhill residents and visitors will be the beneficiaries of a cleanup project at Wolk Park - located at 1080 NW 42nd Way, Lauderhill, FL 33313 - thanks to a partnership between Vice Mayor Denise D. Grant's "Adopt-a-Park" initiative and Fresco y Más and Winn-Dixie.  Volunteers from Fresco y Más and Winn-Dixie will be taking part in their first official park cleanup on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 9 AM to 3 PM. The scope of work is set to include sod installation, painting and pressure cleaning throughout the park.

"The Lauderhill City Commission is proud to support the volunteer efforts of residents and businesses through the Adopt-a-Park initiative," said Vice Mayor Denise D. Grant. "Our sponsor organizations and volunteers play an important role in protecting and preserving City parks, and we truly appreciate their work."

The Adopt-a-Park initiative is administered by the Lauderhill Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with Vice Mayor Grant's office. The program welcomes community organizations, businesses and other groups to help beautify and improve Lauderhill parks.

Adopt-a-Park projects include litter and recyclables cleanup, planting of native plants, pruning existing vegetation, raking leaves, graffiti/vandalism reporting, sweeping, painting, mulching, light manual labor, and much more.
