Commissioner Dunn Spotlights the First Graduates of Lauderhill Shines
The first graduating class of Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn’s Lauderhill Shines program were honored at a recent Commission meeting. The Lauderhill Shines Initiative was a free, capacity-development course. The 4-week, self-paced virtual program was open to new Lauderhill businesses. Classes were taught by City Staff and several industry experts who engaged in Q-and-A sessions with participants. The next Shines initiative will be open to all businesses and will cover topics like gaining access to capital, bookkeeping, human resources, marketing, and how to do business with the City of Lauderhill – to name a few.
