Lauderhill Experiencing Rain Again This Weekend

Lauderhill, FL - Saturday, October 31, 2020, 11:00 AM – The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Central Broward to include over a dozen and a half cities and communities. The Utilities Department reports the canal pumps are working to push water out to the ocean and have been on for several hours. Staff is currently checking all pipes for blockages to ensure the drainage is not hindered.

If you see water pooling in your swales, this is normal. Swales are intended to hold rain as the water slowly enters the ground and travels to catch basins.

Drivers must exercise caution when approaching puddles and avoid them if possible. The depth of standing water can be deceiving.

If you have any questions pertaining to flooding in your neighborhood, please call 954-730-2960.
