Lauderhill Police Department Receives Excelsior Status

CFA Excelsior

On October 15th, the Lauderhill Police Department (LPD) appeared before of the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement (CFA) via Zoom during which the CFA members unanimously voted to grant Excelsior Status to LPD, the highest level of achievement a criminal justice agency can receive!

To earn this distinction, over 270 Standards were reviewed by Assessors, approved by the CFA, to determine if the police department was in compliance with policies and procedures, management, operations and other critical areas. 

After three days of scrutiny, LPD was described as “flawless.”

The Lauderhill Police Department has been accredited since June 2005. 

Sharing her excitement, Chief Stanley says, “This most recent accomplishment speaks volumes to how proud I am of our police agency and the men and women dedicated to this City and who understand the importance of this process.”
