BUSINESSES: Broward County to Launch CARES Grant Program

The Broward County Commission is establishing a grant program using CARES Act funds for small businesses and non-profits in Broward County to help mitigate the impacts of COVID-19.

The Broward County CARES Act Small Business and Non-Profit Assistance Grant Program will allocate $25 million to small businesses with 20 employees or less and $10 million for non-profits. The program will be administered through the County’s Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD).

These funds can be used to reimburse the costs of business interruption related expenditures caused by closures and/or operating restrictions enforced due to COVID-19.

The application period is not open yet. Businesses may visit the CARES Act Assistance Programs website to learn more, including eligibility, application process, technical assistance, and much more.
