Lauderhill and South Florida Still Experiencing Affects of a Tropical Rain Depression

Lauderhill, FL – October 25, 2020 – 12:00 PM – This last week, residents of South Florida experienced record breaking rainfall. At this time, saturated grounds are still accumulating large amounts of rain from the tropical depression lingering over the coast of South Florida.

Although there are isolated areas with standing water throughout the City, we are aware of the flooding in the Inverrary and Northwest communities.

All City pumps are working at full capacity and some levels of water have receded, however the rain is still falling.

If you live in a flooded community, do not go out if you do not have to and remember standing water can be much deeper that it appears.

If you must go out, drive slow not to create wake in the water and adhere to detours as some streets are blocked off for safety.
