Hello Lauderhill Family!

Analysis is suggesting the trends in positive cases for COVID-19 are beginning to decrease. Recently, State Executive Orders and Broward County Emergency Orders have loosened restrictions. Now that all businesses have reopened, we ask that you still be mindful that the pandemic is not totally over. In order to ensure a consistent, downward rate of infection, everyone should still to practice good hygiene, mask up, and exercise social distance.

For our students, the virtual learning environment has been daunting and has impacted parents, college students, teachers and support staff. I applaud all of you for keeping our kids focused and engaged under such stressful conditions. Keep in mind, although many are returning to the classroom on October 20th, we will face new challenges with the reopening of schools. 

If we remain focused, determined, and engaged, we can move forward in the best way possible for all of us. Please encourage your kids and staff to, again, commit to good hygiene, wear a mask, and keep social distancing. 

Working hand-in-hand with our federal, state, county and municipal partners, Lauderhill has met this crisis head-on. I ask that we do not become complacent, as there is still no official vaccine for this disease. As the old saying goes, “Patience is a virtue.” As we have seen, the results of our labor have begun to bear fruit. While Florida transitions into the next phase of reopening, please be kind to your neighbor, exercise patience, and try to help others when you can. We are all in this together, and together we will be better!
