About Lauderhill

Located in the heart of Broward County, the City of Lauderhill is home to nearly 75,000 residents and a growing number of bustling businesses that help drive the region’s economy. Known for its diverse cultural richness and welcoming community, this All-American City is less than 10 miles from South Florida’s world-famous beaches. The city proudly holds the title of the “cricket capital” of the United States, thanks to Central Broward Regional Park Stadium—the first U.S. cricket ground certified by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to host international matches. This landmark venue has become a hub for cricket in North America, drawing major international events and helping to grow the sport’s popularity across the region. The city is also popular for arts and recreation, featuring signature destinations like Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, Lauderhill Historical Museum, Lauderhill Golf Course and several scenic parks with picturesque trails. With a strong focus on people, progress and sustainability, Lauderhill continues to be a vibrant place for everyone under the sun.

Hello Lauderhill Family,

Though these are difficult times in dealing with COVID-19, I have seen some truly remarkable things. People are slowing down, becoming more involved within their families and striving to help each other. Similarly, the Lauderhill Police and all of its staff embraced the opportunity to help our community.

During the last month, the City of Lauderhill and the Police Department hosted two drive-through food distributions at the Lauderhill Sports Park for Feeding South Florida. One was on Thursday, April 30th, and the other on Thursday, May 14th. With its the partners, volunteers, and City staff, we distributed 1,700 boxes of food to residents of Lauderhill and surrounding communities. It truly was an inspiring time for all of us involved.

If you know or are a senior who is over 60 years old, in need of food, and cannot drive, you may call Feeding South Florida at (954) 518-1818. Press Option 1 to register for direct food delivery to your home.

Finally, as we begin to reopen Lauderhill with the rest of South Florida, please continue to be mindful of CDC guidelines for social distancing. COVID-19 still has no vaccination and can still cause severe illness and even death.  We want to reopen safely and positively - together!
