From Lauderhill PD and FD, Happy Birthday Emily!

Every year, you likely celebrate your birthday surrounded by friends. However, Emily Becker knew her 7th birthday was going to be different this year, since it would have to be without her best buddies.

But what she didn’t expect was that the first responder friends from Lauderhill Police and Fire Rescue would be stopping by! The Police and Fire Departments surprised her with a drive-by birthday parade. Emily received a bicycle, a helmet, and goodie bags from both departments to help her celebrate her special day! Emily and her family were overjoyed with the convoy of first responder vehicles and personnel that helped make her birthday a joyous occasion.

Emily Becker has an uncle in Israel who serves as a police officer.  She believes that the Lauderhill Police Officers and Lauderhill Fire Rescue are heroes. Her mother shared the heartwarming video of the birthday surprise with their family abroad and were all thankful for taking the time to join in Emily’s birthday celebration. In her words, “the presence of live personnel outside her home with the fire truck and police vehicles made her day extra special.”
