Hello Lauderhill Family!

Considering the social distancing requirements still in place, we want to remind our residents and community members of contact-free reporting methods.

We’ve previously mentioned our newest reporting platform, an online reporting system known as “P2C,” short for Police to Citizen. It’s proven to be a widely welcomed and effective tool! As a recap for our new subscribers, this system allows reports to be submitted online from anywhere (learn more about P2C).

For those who prefer to use the phone, we also have our Telephone Reporting Unit. There are certain crimes and miscellaneous reports that do not require an officer to meet in person. In this case, reports will be routed to this unit by the Patrol Supervisor, or you can request to make a report over the phone. 

Either way, the probability of exposure for reporting would be eliminated.

Unfortunately we are in fact receiving some reports of crowds gathering. The state executive order prohibits gathering of 10 or more people. The Lauderhill Police has had to enforce this order on offenders, which leads to fines and court appearances. 

Believe us, we want to push past this phase of the pandemic. The best way to do so is to be responsible for our collective safety. Slow the spread of COVID-19. Stay inside, stay safe, only together can we stop the spread!

I would also like to take a moment to thank the businesses within and outside of Lauderhill that have supported first responders during this unprecedented time. From hand sanitizer to food, the heart-felt appreciation that we have seen has been amazing and we truly are grateful for you too!
