Mayor thurston holds thank you sign in front of fire engine in parking lot

The staff of Florida Medical Center (FMC) received a warm welcome on their way into work early Tuesday morning when an appreciative crowd cheered for them as they entered the hospital. On behalf of Lauderhill’s Mayor Thurston, 200 lunches were served to FMC Patient Care workers, supplied by a generous donation from Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. The nightshift Patient Care employees also received a round of applause with the “Clap Because We Care!” campaign.
