Commissioner Grant’s Successful Petition for House Bill 3477 Generates $500,000 for Lauderhill!

Commissioner Denise D. Grant successfully petitioned for full funding of House Bill 3477 “Lauderhill Southeast Water Service”in Tallahassee. With the support of Mayor Ken Thurston, Interim City Manager Desorae Giles-Smith, and Lauderhill’s Economic Development staff, the City will be awarded $500,000. State Representatives Anika Omphroy and Bobby DuBose, Senator Thurston, and Yolanda Cash-Jackson were instrumental in the bill’s ratification. This is a proud moment for our City, Lauderhill.
