  • Throughout December of 2019, Detective Knight, Special Projects Unit (SPU), received information about drug sales occurring in front of the 12th Street Food Store.  Using surveillance, Knight recognized a suspect as Omarrie Goings (03/22/1999) – Knight had arrested Goings before, for the same activity.  Over the next month, Det. Knight arranged several undercover narcotics transactions, ultimately obtaining an arrest warrant.  On February 25th, Sergeant Bigwood and the U.S. Marshals Service located Goings at his mother’s home in Plantation and arrested him on two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver.
  •  Detective Rolle of the Criminal Investigations Division (CID), was assigned an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon investigation. The suspect, Denishers Hanna III, threatened to kill his girlfriend with a shotgun. She did not want to cooperate with Rolle, so he reviewed nearby surveillance footage for the incident. After contacting Hanna’s Probation and Parole officer, the CID conducted a search of Hanna’s residence which revealed three firearms, including the weapon used in the incident. Further assisting the detectives, the victim came forward and provided them with a statement. Hanna was arrested and confessed to the crime.
