Just Don’t – You Will Be Caught!

  • On December 19, 2019, members of the Special Projects Unit (SPU) searched 2029 NW 46 Ave. #308. During the search, SPU seized 619.3 grams of cannabis, 3 grams of MDMA, and 22 THC oil cartridges. Arrest and charges are pending.
  • On January 11, 2020, patrol officers received reports that a person was committing a series of vehicle burglaries at 2080 NW 47 Terrace and were provided a description of the suspect. The officers found that Shaniqua Jones matched the description and had personal items that did not belong to her, along with items used to commit burglaries. The suspect was taken into custody while the investigation continues.
  • On Monday, January 13, 2020, police officers investigated 4411 NW 18th Street, Apt. M112 regarding threatening comments posted by 27-year-old Shawn Walker on social media platforms. The investigation was initiated when the Hollywood Police Department notified the Lauderhill Police Department about several reports that Walker was posting threatening comments. Walker was subsequently arrested and charged with Written Threats to Kill, Do Bodily Injury, Mass Shooting, and Acts of Terrorism.
