Lauderhill cop who found, treated stabbed teen in Coral Springs, shares ordeal

Officer Samuel Ramos was on his way home after work on Friday, October 18, when he noticed a group of juveniles gathered in a service station in the City of Coral Springs. Although he was already off duty, Officer Ramos stopped under the assumption that the group of juveniles were involved in a fight. When he stopped, he noticed a juvenile bleeding on the ground and immediately rendered aid. It turned out that the juvenile on the ground had been stabbed by another juvenile. Officer Ramos advised on the radio and Coral Springs Police as well as Fire Rescue responded and transported the victim to the hospital. Fortunately, the victim who was suffering from a collapsed lung is now recovering from what could have been a fatal wound. Additionally, due to Officer Ramos' quick response, Coral Springs Police placed the 14-year-old suspect into custody.

Officer Ramos provided a release to the media, read more here.
