Highlights of Lauderhill Police Enforcement Activity - August 16, 2019

On June 14, 2019, a Crime Stoppers tip led detectives from the Special Project’s Unit (SPU) to set up continuous surveillance in the area of 3651 NW 8 Street for drug use and sales. After being observed by SPU detectives, Offender Terry Yates was arrested for drug-related offenses – which were in violation of his Pre-Trial release.

As a result of another on-going criminal investigation, members of the SPU executed a search warrant in the Cypress Grove Condominium Complex on June 24, 2019. Detectives seized 7 firearms including 2 that had been reported stolen. Detectives successfully intercepted the following dangerous drugs from being sold in our community:                      

  • Cocaine: 138.6 grams
  • Methamphetamine: 152.7 grams
  • Marijuana: 456.6 grams
  • MDMA (Ecstacy): 40.8 grams 
  • Fentanyl /Heroin: 32.7 grams
  • OxyContin: 8.3 grams
  • Adderall:   9.6 grams
  • APVP (Flakka): 206.9 grams
  • Percocet : 16.8 grams
