Updated: Celebrate Jamaica's Flag & Independence Day on Sunday, August 4th!

The Duke of Earl of WAVS 1170 AM Radio 107.9 FM, Jamaica Tourist Board, Broward Meat and Fish Company, Sandals and Beaches Resorts, under the distinguished patronage of Mr. Oliver Mair, Consul General of Jamaica, in association with Commissioner Richard Campbell and the City of Lauderhill present the 11th Annual Jamaica Flag & 57th Independence Day Celebration. The event takes place on Sunday, August 4, 2019, from 12pm – 10pm at the Lauderhill Sports Complex (7500 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill, FL).

The FREE event is sponsored by JN International Money Transfer, JN Bank, CASA Soccer Association, Ram’s Car Care Center, Donna’s Caribbean Restaurant, Fraser Property Adjusting, and the Netball Youth Sports Association.

The celebration will start at noon and the flag raising will be at 5pm sharp. Music will be provided by Rainbow Disco with Fada Bow and there will be live performances, giveaways, and complimentary food and drinks. Enjoy the dominoes, soccer, and netball tournaments as well. Patrons must bring back-to-school supplies to enter to win a vacation to any Sandals Resort in the Caribbean. Finally, celebrate and remember Jamaica’s National Heroes & Heroines.
