Highlights of Lauderhill Police Enforcement Activity - August 1, 2019
On May 15, 2019, detectives from the Lauderhill Police Special Project’s Unit (SPU) acted on a Crime Stoppers tip regarding drug sales from the 12th Street Food Store located at 4248 NW 12 Street. The detectives’ investigation led them to the drug dealers – a mother and son - Sharonda Coleman and Omarrie Goings. The investigation continued for several weeks where detectives were able to make several undercover drug purchases including marijuana, oxycodone, and cocaine.
On June 13, 2019, detectives from SPU along with Broward Sheriff's Office Special Weapons and Tactics (BSO SWAT) team were able to execute a search warrant at the suspects’ home located at 4421 NW 12 Court, Lauderhill where a third suspect Deandre Gurdon, was identified. During the search, detectives confiscated a firearm, several vials of rock cocaine, and a supply of oxycodone pills. The warrant resulted in the arrests of Omarrie Goings, Sharonda Coleman, and Deandre Gurdon who were booked at the Broward County Jail with the following charges pending criminal prosecution.
Omarrie Goings is charged with:
- 3 counts Possession cannabis with intent to sell/man/deliver
- 1 count Possession oxycodone with intent to sell/man/deliver
- 1 count Possession cocaine with intent to sell/man/deliver
Sharonda Coleman is charged with:
- 2 counts Possession oxycodone with intent to sell/man/deliver
Deandre Gurdon is charged with:
- 1 count Possession of cocaine
