New “My City!” Program

Lauderhill Youth Council and Teen Leadership Programs offered students a new program called "My City!" Mayor Ken Thurston was an intricate part of the “My City” program where he personally shared historical facts and perspectives of Lauderhill's rich and dynamic history. The kids paid particular attention to this history lesson because it was far more than a story on paper, but a heartfelt account told by someone who not only lived it, but clearly loved it! Thank you Mayor Thurston.
