Attention Lauderhill Residents:
There was a Water Main Break in the City of Fort Lauderdale early this morning on Thursday, July 18th that also affected a small number of Lauderhill Residents & Businesses east of 441/State Road 7 (see below map). Please note that Lauderhill City Staff went door to door to reach out to each of these residents & businesses to make them aware of the situation and keep them informed on the estimated timeline when their water service should be restored.
Per the City of Fort Lauderdale: AS A PRECAUTION, WE ADVISE THAT ALL WATER USED FOR DRINKING, COOKING, MAKING ICE, BRUSHING TEETH AND WASHING DISHES BE BOILED. A ROLLING BOIL OF ONE MINUTE IS SUFFICIENT. AS AN ALTERNATIVE, BOTTLE WATER MAY BE USED.
THIS "PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE" WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN CORRECTED AND A BACTERIOLOGICAL SURVEY SHOWS THAT THE WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK.
All other residents who were not affected by the City of Fort Lauderdale's Water Main Break can continue to utilize their water as normal.
If you have any questions, you may contact the 24 Hour Neighbor Call Center at 954-828-8000 or the City of Lauderhill's Utility Department at 954-730-4225. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
