Slow Roll Lauderhill January 2019
This year’s first Slow Roll with a Cop Bike event kicked off from West Wind Park on Saturday morning January 19th. The unusually cool temperature had no bearing on the participant turn out for this highly-attended slow-paced bike ride with members of the Lauderhill Police Department. Cyclists of all ages came out to enjoy this escorted ride around our beautiful City. Chief Stanley and the officers cycled among many residents. Some special guest riders included Mayor Ken Thurston and two popular radio hosts Amejah Prophet and Karen Chung from WZOP 92.7 FM. After the ride, everyone enjoyed refreshments and celebrated with the Chief as she donated a pair of bikes to a couple of happy children!
