  1. Always lock your car.
  2. Never leave your car running.
  3. Keep spare keys at home.
  4. Keep your car windows closed – even during the hot months when away from your car.
  5. Park in well-lit areas.
  6. Install an audible alarm system or a visible anti-theft device.
  7. Install a vehicle immobilizer system.
  8. Consider installing a GPS tracking system.
  9. Don’t leave valuable personal property in your car.
  10. Use Common Sense – Be aware of your surroundings.
