The last City Commission Meeting for Mayor Kaplan and Commissioner Benson was tearful and emotional for almost all in attendance on October 29, 2018. Mayor Richard J. Kaplan who served over 31 years as Councilmen, Commissioner, and Mayor as well as Commissioner Hayward J. Benson, Jr., who served for 15 years as a Councilmen and Commissioner said good bye and thanks to staff and members of the public.  Pictures of the two retiring Elected Officials flashed on the big screens reminiscent of the all the years of their service.  Many people from the public thanked them for their service and wished them well on their new endeavors as they have both served the City and the residents so well over the years.  Best wishes to Mayor Kaplan and Commissioner Benson on your new journeys!
