The First Pork, Pints, and Palettes Beer-B-Q Festival was a total success!!

The City of Lauderhill and its’ Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) hosted their first Pork, Pints and Palettes Beer-B-Q Festival event on Saturday, September 29th. The event featured local BBQ vendors, craft beer, art projects, live music and an array of artisan vendors attracting approximately 1000 residents/visitors, as well as many businesses to NW 38 Avenue.

The Beer-B-Q was designed to promote Lauderhill’s business opportunities and redevelopment plans for the NW 38th Avenue Corridor. Plans include nurturing and growing the arts through community involvement as well as elevating local and future business potential in Lauderhill. Festivals like the Pork, Pints and Palettes Beer-B-Q Festival increase community pride, while introducing new guests and potential business owners to the area. The plans for the corridor will include outdoor cafes, restaurants, microbreweries, retail shops, and store fronts where the arts can be sold or presented – a new downtown and entertainment area for the City.

"Cultural activities enrich and expand on my understanding of what binds us together as a community, where we have come from and perhaps where we are going.” -ArtsFund Patron Survey, 2015.
