Lauderhill Commissioner Ken Thurston Hosts a Free Two Part Grant Writing Seminar 

Commission Ken Thurston is offering a FREE two part Grant Writing Seminar to give those interested in growing their knowledge in grant writing the opportunity to learn techniques to acquire successful grant writing skills.

Part One will be an Introduction to Grant Writing on Thursday, July 12th, from 6 pm – 9 pm, and Part Two will be an Advanced Grant Writing Class on Thursday, July 19th, from 6pm – 9pm, for those considered to be at an Intermediate or Advanced level of knowledge concerning grants. Attending Part One is not a requirement for attending Part Two, participants can go to either session or both. Seminars will be held in the Multipurpose Rooms at City Hall, which is located at 5581 W. Oakland Park Boulevard. 

The City of Lauderhill’s Grant Writer, Jane Sullivan, will be the guest speaker for both sessions. For 12 years, Jane Sullivan has been successfully writing grants for the City of Lauderhill while she has been a professional Grant Writer for over 38 years.

Grant writing can be an important aspect to managing a non-profit or community organization. With so many needs in the community and limited resources, those who possess grant writing skills are in an advantageous position to see their goals realized,” states Seminar Organizer Commissioner Ken Thurston.
