Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida presents Up, Rise, SING!

Harold Dioquino Conductor

June 2019 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising. Up, Rise, SING! is this year’s Pride concert by the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida working in collaboration with the Miami Gay Men’s Chorus and the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus. This regional, music event features “Quiet No More,” a choral piece co-commissioned with the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus and the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles to celebrate the vast legacy and worldwide change that resulted from six days in June 1969 in the West Village of NYC. This incredibly moving and inspiring concert will have audiences celebrating the strength of the human spirit and cheering for a shared vision of tolerance and acceptance for all people.
