NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY OF LAUDERHILL is
seeking sealed bids for the following work as specified:
STATE ROAD 838 (SUNRISE BLVD.) STREETSCAPE
FROM SR 7 (US 441) TO NW 31ST AVENUE
BID No. 2010-017
CITY OF LAUDERHILL, FLORIDA
The City of Lauderhill will be accepting sealed bids up
to 2:45 P.M. EST, on Thursday August 12, 2010,
in the City Clerk’s Office, 5581 West Oakland Boulevard,
Suite 421, Lauderhill, Florida 33313 and will be opened
at 3:00 P.M. in Room 401. Bids received
after 2:45 P.M. will not be considered and will be
returned unopened.
The work shall include the removal of existing plant
materials and irrigation in the medians. It shall also
include the construction of landscape improvements to
consist of the planting of new trees and their
associated irrigation and the under-story planting of
turf, ground cover and/or shrubs within the median.
Bids will be based on A GRAND TOTAL BASIS OF UNIT PRICE
ITEMS. Bids based on a portion of the work will not be
considered.
An original and two (2) copies of the bid must be
received in sealed envelopes bearing the words “STATE
ROAD 838 (SUNRISE BLVD.) STREETSCAPE FROM SR7 (US 441)
TO NW 31ST AVE BID NO. 2010 – 017 ”
and
should be hand-delivered or mailed to the City Clerk,
City of Lauderhill, 5581 Oakland Park Boulevard, Suite
421, Lauderhill, Florida 33313. E-mailed and faxed
proposals will not be accepted.

Contract Documents may be examined and obtained on and
after July 6, 2010 at the Department of
Environmental and Engineering Services (DEES), 2101 NW

730-2960 upon payment of $100.00 per set,
non-refundable.

proposal is August 2, 2010. Questions after this date
will not be answered.
Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or certified
check made payable to the "City of Lauderhill", in an
amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, will be
required. Bidder must use Bid Bond form provided. No
Bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the
actual date of the opening thereof.
Guaranty Bonds in the form of a 100% Construction
Performance Bond and a 100% Construction Payment Bond
will be required.
The Public Entity Crimes Affidavit must be completed in
its entirety and submitted as part of the bid.
The City Commission of the City of Lauderhill reserves
the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and
all informalities or irregularities and to accept or
reject all or any part of any bid as they may deem to be
in the interest of the citizens of the City of
Lauderhill. “The winning bidder is required to enter
into a contract with the City of Lauderhill.”

firms to provide all labor and equipment for Median
Maintenance citywide as needed.

The City of Lauderhill will be
accepting sealed Bids until 2:45PM EST on Wednesday
August 4, 2010 at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall,
City of Lauderhill, and 5581 W. Oakland Park Blvd.,
Suite 421, Lauderhill, Florida 33313 and will be opened
at 3:00PM In Room 401. Bids received after 2:45PM EST
will not be considered, and will be returned to the
bidder unopened.

delivered in a sealed envelope bearing the words "MEDIAN
MAINTENANCE, RE-BID P2010-018" to the City’ Clerk, City

7:30AM to 6:00PM on and after July 26 2010 at the

Work will include, but not limited to mowing and cutting
of medians, edging area per specifications. Bids will be
based on the complete work required in the contract.
